Used fragments of fabrics and paper are stitched together to make new textile surfaces relate to my feeling of the importance of caring for the planet both as a way of re-cycling materials and of the subject matter of my art pieces.

Life Line - Los 33
is composed of multiple pieces of stitched vellum that are threaded together to make a 2 metre length. This piece was created to celebrate the rescue of the 33 Chilean miners in 2010.

Humming the Air
is made or multiple layers of stitched vellum, forming the letters of the title. This is a quote from Andrew Motion in describing the poet's role is 'to make the words lift appear to lift off the page as if they were humming the air.

Tread Softly
This ‘footpath’ (7 metres) is stitched with old photographs of family holidays in Gower, walking the cliff top paths. The title refers to a quote from the poem by W B Yeats, ‘He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven’. “I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.”
