Angela Thackray
As a geographer my inspiration comes from the landscape and the human response to it. As a traditional hand-stitcher for many years, I now try to use traditional techniques in an innovative way, especially canvas work using a variety of fibres and stitches to produce landscape surfaces. I am currently working on a series of pockets, inspired by an exhibition in Bath.
